Alumni Highlights

Nabiha Madre - Class of 2024

After graduating in December 2024, Nabiha Madre received the Levinus Clarkson Award, one of two awards presented to the top students in her graduating class. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a National Health Service Corps Scholarship recipient, which provides full tuition support in exchange for service in federally designated health shortage areas.

While in the CFCD Lab, Nabiha conducted research on self-regulation and intimate partner violence and completed an honors thesis titled “Intimate Partner Violence Experience in College Students: Emotional Health and Gender Differences.” She presented her research at the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and continues to collaborate on research following graduation.

Danielle Lindsay - Class of 2025
Danielle Lindsay joined the CFCD Lab during her sophomore year and became involved in multiple research projects focused on child maltreatment, self regulation, and intimate partner violence. She assisted with literature reviews, data collection, and data preparation for several projects that were later published and presented research at the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention as well as at Clarkson University.
With mentorship from Dr. Zhang, Danielle designed and implemented her own study during the summer of 2023, which served as the foundation for her senior thesis and is currently undergoing peer review for publication. Through her work in the lab, she developed strong research and analytical skills including data analysis, statistical software, and literature review, which contributed to her successful admission to Columbia University. She continues to collaborate on research with Dr. Zhang and current lab members.
